Effects of different washing processes on fabric performance characterics of denim fabrics

In this study, for investigating the effects of washing conditions on denim fabric performance, some washing trials in different conditions have been applied on a selected mid-oz/yd2 weight denim fabric based on 4 different washing recipe. Investigations have been made on rince, enzyme, stonewash and stone bleach recipes which are intensively used finishing process in denim washing industry. For analysing the test results, weight, width, dimensional stability after washing, movement, warp elongation, stiffness, tensile strength, tear strength, elasticity and growth measurements were evaluated as dependent (response) variables. Duration, tempature, enzyme, bleacing agent, stone rates of applied washing recipes were taken as independent variables. Multivariate General Lineer Model was applied by using SPSS 22.0 software package and so effects of selected independent variables on the response variables were evaluated as statistically and results were interpreted.
