Turkish adaptation of the psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics questionnaire: Validity and reliability study

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is develop a reliable and valid Turkish version of the Psychosocial Impact of Dental Aesthetic Questionnaire (PIDAQ) in adult patients. The questionnaire was applied to 220 people, whose age range is 18-62 (average age is 33.60 ± 11.68). Cronbach's alpha coefficients, test total test correlations were calculated. In addition, confirmatory and explanatory factor analyzes were applied. The Cronbach's alpha of 0.930. Corrected item correlation between 0.349 and 0.799 for the Turkish version of PIDAQ. The structure of questionnaire was confirmed for cmin/df, CFI, SRMR and RMSEA criteria. The results show that the Turkish version of PIDAQ could be a useful tool in adult patients who needs prosthetic treatment.
