Abstract (EN)

In this study, a volunteer tracking software is developed with Visual Studio 2008 C#, ASP.NET, AJAX and Oracle database technolojies using Turkish Redcrescent?s personel and institutional volunteer data. The Turkish Redcrescent has 652 departments and millions of volunteers connected to these departments in Turkey. Department personal can enter volunteer data to the database online and faster by using the developed volunteer tracking software. Volunteers may be confirmed, assessed, cancelled or refused by department personal. Since all volunteer information is stored in the database, records can be obtained efficiently and quickly by query processes. In case of emergency and natural disaster, the most important factor is reaching people in need of assistance, in time and with necessary equipment, as soon as possible. The aim of this study is to develop a volunteer tracking software for reaching crucial information in less time and efficiently.KEYWORDS: Turkish Redcrescent, volunteer tracking, querying, process, programming language, performance, emergency, information systemsAdvisor: Asst.
