Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the spoof surface plasmon polariton (sSPP) waveguides have been characterized, measured, and modelled between from 1 GHz to 0.35 THz. Firstly, the simulations are made by changing the physical parameters of the transition section of the spoof surface plasmon polariton in order to examine the behavior of the waveguide. The behaviors obtained in different THz frequencies are transferred to curve graphs and sSPP waveguides are selected which gave the maximum loss minimum loss results. Then, the sSPP waveguides selected are designed in accordance with the manufacturing and their simulations are repeated. When the simulations are made, the calibration kits which are used in non-contact measurements setup method are designed. After completion of the work of calibration kits and sSPP waveguides suitable for these kits, the structures are sent to the measurement. The measurement frequency range is set to be between 0.22 THz to 0.32 THz. Finally, the equivalent circuit models of the sSPP waveguides with measurement results are conducted. When performing modelling, the transition and delay line which are parts of simulated sSPP waveguide are seperately designed. The values of the circuit elements are found by comparing the modeling optimization with the measurement results.
