Abstract (EN)

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a versatile and cost-effective thermoplastic polymer extensively utilized in the manufacturing sector. Despite advancements in automation technologies, many facilities still rely heavily on manual labor for PVC profile packaging. This not only increases operational costs but also raises safety concerns for workers involved in handling heavy profiles. To address this, the current study endeavors to design and construct an automated PVC packaging machine, leveraging methodologies such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for the development of the machine components and simulation techniques for assessing the system's efficiency and safety protocols. This initiative aims to streamline the packaging process, focusing on factors like safety, efficiency, and seamless integration with existing production lines. By automating critical stages such as profile organization, transfer to a holding area, wrapping, and final placement, the project anticipates fostering a safer and more efficient operational environment. It is projected that this innovation could potentially minimize labor costs and enhance workplace safety, marking a significant stride towards modernizing the PVC industry with a comprehensive, technology-driven approach.
