Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, it is shown that the different characterizations of curves of constant breadth in 3-dimensional Euclidean space. Firstly, basic definitions and theorems about the subject are given. Secondly, it is shown that when a space curve (C) is given, a space curve (C*) can be determined so that at corresponding points the curves have parallel tangents in the opposite directions the distance between these points is constant. Thirdly, the differential equation systems characterizing curves of constant breadth in 3-dimensional Euclidean space are given. Forthly, the differential equations characterizing curves of constant breadth with respect to s and s* in 3-dimensional Euclidean space are given. Finally, the differential equations characterizing curves of constant breadth with respect to the contingency angle in 3-dimensional Euclidean space are given.
