Abstract (EN)
Main objective of this study is to compare the digital press system with the offset press system in terms of press quality and press costs. In this study, two press systems are investigated, equivalent work samples in both systems are pressed and both are examined in terms of press quality and press time. Digital press, in general meaning, is the system in which the desired work is directly sent and pressed without the need of color discrimination system, different plates, film or blocks. The work designed in computer can be directly sent to the press. In low circulation works, it is seen as more economical than the offset press. Time gain is the reason for the choice in urgent works. Although in early models of digital press, not good results have been obtained in high resolution works, digital press has reached the quality of offset systems as time has passed. As a result of experiments made, digital press is seen as more advantageous than the offset press system in terms of press time and in low circulation works, on the other hand it is seen that digital press has not reached the offset press system yet in terms of press quality.
