Abstract (EN)
The COVID-19 epidemic, which emerged in December 2019 in Wuhan, China's Hubei province, spread rapidly all over the world and went down in history as a serious pandemic with its consequences. Today, it is possible to say that the impact of COVID-19 has decreased, although it has not yet ended with the spread of vaccination in developed and underdeveloped countries. In such times, the countries and societies of the world provide the necessary information in the fastest and most reliable way through the media. People have provided their information needs from traditional and digital media platforms, and in this process, they have become more interested in news texts. Critical study based on comparative analysis of COVID-19 news in digital and traditional press; It was analyzed by applying Teun van Dijk's critical discourse analysis method. Although the digital press and the traditional press are two different channels, there are many differences in news production and selection processes and news languages, but the purposes of reporting are common purposes. It is to reveal the ideologies of the news through the awareness of these differences. All the important events and phenomena throughout history have also led to the formation of many new discourses. The strong potential of the media to influence and influence has caused it to be the carrier of the Discourses. The extent of the economic-political relations of the media organs with the government is evident in the newspaper news. The aim of the study is to reveal these discourses hidden behind the news and to prove that the news are texts that reflect the statements of the government-opposition. In order to understand these discourses, critical discourse analysis was applied to our study. The discourse analysis of the news in question has been examined by considering macro and micro structures. Keywords: Ideology, Discourse, News, Digital press, Traditional press.
