Abstract (EN)

In parallel with the developments in the field of technology and health, a significant increase has been observed in the average life span of the people in the modern period and later. With this increase in life expectancy, the average life expectancy of people has increased in parallel. This process in which a planned, programmed and long life is envisaged has had serious effects on the position of death in social memory. This study, where 30-40 minutes of interviews were conducted with people aged 50 and older aims to reveal the view of old age to death in the context of the relationship between old age and religiosity. Qualitative research method and techniques were used in this study and 30-40 minutes of interviews were conducted with the participants. The research reveals what the conception old age means, the dimensions of orientation to religion with old age, the view of old age to death in the context of the relationship between old age and religiosity and what are the main factors affecting the formation of these thoughts.
