Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out between 2015-2016 and 2020 in September and October on the Dipsiz-Çine (Muğla-Aydin) Stream to determine the water quality according to the Epilitic and Epiphytic algae species and the analysis results obtained with physicochemical parameters. Water samples and algae samples were taken from the stations determined on Dipsiz-Çine Stream. Water temperature, conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen parameters were measured during the field. In order to determine the physico-chemical properties of water, ammonium nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, ortho-phosphate phosphorus, total hardness, sulfate hardness, carbonate hardness, calcium ion and magnesium ion were measured and evaluated. Total of 71 taxa belonging to Bacillariophyta, Chlorophyta, Dinophyta, Euglenophyta and Cyanobacteria were identified. Bacillariophyta represented the most dominant group. Within the Bacillariophyta group, the taxa belonging to the Pennales order were found to be dominant in terms of the number of individuals and taxa richness compared to the taxa belonging to the Centrales order. Diatoma vulgaris, Melosira varians, Amphora ovalis, Navicula gracilis, Cymbella helvetica, Diploneis ovalis and Cyclotella meneghiniana are the most observed species. It was determined that the most dominant species in all stations was Melosira varians. The frequency, dominance, diversity values of the epilitic algae determined at the stations and the similarities of the stations were determined and evaluated together with the water quality results. Biologically identified samples were used in the Saprobi Index and Trophic Diatomaceous Index, and the water quality was determined according to the results obtained. According to YSKY (2012), the water quality of Dipsiz Çine Stream; II. quality (good), according to Klee (1991); II. According to Saprobi index values determined according to quality (medium polluted) and epilitic algae; II. quality (moderately polluted) water classes. According to the results of the trophic diatom index, the 1st station is Mesotrophic, the 2nd, 3th and 5th Stations are Eutrophic, 4th and 6th stations were found to be hypertrophic.
