Research on effects of diabetic school education on self care at diabetic patients

The study was conducted as experimental and pretest-posttest control group in order to examine the effect of the diabetes school on the self-care perception of diabetic patients with 100 patients who were admitted to the Diabetes Polyclinic of Hatay Reyhanlı State Hospital. The data were collected using the top "Personal Characteristics Descriptive Survey Form Ver" and "Diabetes Self-Care Activities Survey Ver." The data obtained from the study were analyzed using SPSS for Windows 22.0 software. There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in terms of the socio-demographic characteristics, diabetic characteristics, and diabetic parameter characteristics of the subjects in the experimental and control groups. In the experimental group, there was a significant difference between the scores of dieting, exercise, foot care and blood glucose tests before and after the school education(p<0,05).
