Abstract (EN)

The main aim of this study is to measure the impact of receiving sound from diapason on a regular basis, on the students that have recently started their professional music education. In this context academic members who give the class of Musical Audince and Literacy at Gazi University Faculty of Education Department of Fine Arts Division of Music Teaching, are contacted and a hearing test is prepared based on their opinions. This hearing test has been applied to 25 students who are in the 9th grade and have recently started Ankara High School of Fine Arts and Sports, Department of Music and then distributed to each of them from one diapason and then they have been asked to receive voice from diapason and perform the task of finding the ranges. At the end of fourteen weeks the same hearing test was applied to them again and the differences between the pre-test and final test were exmined. Obtained results were turned into numeric data by means of frequency (f) and percentage (%) distribution table. At the end of the study, it is found out that students showed a lower success at the pre-hearing test; however the percentage of their success highly increased in the test which was applied at the end of the fourteen-week study. Based on these results the students are advised to receive ?la sound? from the diapason on a regular basis and then try to find the range of this ?la sound?, and to repeat this task as much as possible. For the maintenance of the research ?single group pre-test ? final test model? has been used from the test models. Key words: Diapason, Absolute hearing, Musical Hearing and Literacy
