Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to examine the adventure behavior of individuals interested in extreme sports for recreational purposes, their tendency to discover curiosity and psychological well-being levels. Research licensed in provinces across Turkey or unlicensed 18 years and older interested in outdoor sports, individuals who operate in community specials in the age group or individual contributions are included. The sample group is 118 female 204 male constitutes a total of 322 people. It was designed with quantitative research method in research and in collecting data; The personal information form was prepared by the study owner, Curiosity and Exploration Scale II, Adventure Behavior Seeking Scale and Psychological Well-being Scale were used. Independent T test, One Way Anova test, Correlation analysis and Regression test were used from parametric tests. As a result of the findings obtained within the scope of the study, of the outdoor sports participants to adventure behavior seeeking with curiosity and exploration tendency a significant difference in terms of gender variable. In terms of marital status variable of outdoor sports participants, seeking adventure behavior and curiosity and exploration tendency and sub-dimensions show a significant difference. The adventure behavior seeeking, curiosity and exploration tendency and sub-dimensions of outdoor sports participants show a significant difference in terms of educational status variable. A positive, moderate and low-level significant relationship was found between the curiosity and exploration tendency and sub-dimensions of the adventure behavior seeking of outdoor sports participants and their psychological well-being. The significance between the adventure behavior seeking and the tendency to curiosity and exploration is moderately positive. It was found that seeking adventure behavior affects 29% of curiosity and exploration, and according to the regression coefficient, the search for adventure behavior, which is the independent variable (β=.54), has a significant effect on tendency to curiosity and exploration, which is the dependent variable. The relationship between seeking adventure behavior and psychological well-being is positive and moderate. It was found that seeking adventure behavior affects 10% of psychological well-being, and according to the regression coefficient, seeking adventure behavior, which is the independent variable (β=.32), has a significant effect on psychological well-being, which is the dependent variable. The search for adventure behavior, curiosity and exploration tendency and psychological well-being of individuals participating in recreational nature sports were examined and it was concluded that they had significant effects on each other. It is thought that if participation in these activities is higher and activities are increased, it will have positive effects on individuals physically and psychologically.
