Abstract (EN)
Natural and man-made disasters are becoming riskier and more harmful for society. When developments in technological and industrial areas are evaluated together with the distorted urbanization following increasing population density, the risk of disaster is preserving its existence in all areas of our life. This fact forces societies to be more sensitive to disasters. After the disasters, the first rescue and first aid work in the sense of intervention comes. To be able to respond effectively to disasters, the disaster preparedness and the precautions to be taken by the workers in the health care group, the victims in the health care receiving group and other individuals are extremely important. In this research, it is aimed to evaluate the current situation of the central provinces of Eastern Black Sea region regarding disaster preparedness and to offer suggestions by comparing these hospitals with each other. The study was conducted as a descriptive study to determine the differences in the preparations made against the disaster in the hospitals. It is important for the employee to understand the disaster plans in hospitals, coordination and cooperation between institutions, exercises, evacuation plan, disaster communication, drug stock, ambulance sufficiency, it is aimed to be decisive. Research data Gümüşhane State Hospital, Ordu State Hospital, Giresun Faculty of Medicine, located in the central districts of Eastern Black Sea between April 15, 2016 and June 3, Dr. A. Ilhan Özdemir State Hospital, Trabzon Law Education and Research Hospital, Bayburt State Hospital, Artvin State Hospital and Rize State Hospital. The research data were collected in 1996 using the data collection tool based on the questionnaire developed by Serhat Hacımusalar in the thesis study of "The Organization of Hospitals in Disasters and the Situation of the Hospitals in Izmir". The data were obtained by face-to-face interviews with department heads or principals of the relevant hospitals. Because of the study, it was determined that all the district hospitals had a disaster plan, that all the other units in the hospitals were easily accessible to the disaster plan, and the organizations to be employed were determined. However, it has become clear that the lack of hospitals in some important criteria such as building resilience, additional ambulance facilities in disasters, temporary morgue locations, planning of the crisis room, and continuing communication during disasters.
