Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the effect of hardware impairments in two-way relay network to system performance is investigated. Transmitter and receiver nodes exchange their data through Nakagami-m fading channels via relay with hardware impairment that uses VG AF protocol. The instantaneous end-to-end SNDR of this system are obtained for both nodes. The closed form equations for analytical and asymptotic outage probability are obtained by using PDF and CDF of Nakagami-m fading channels. The analytical expression of the SER is numerically resolved and asymptotic expression is derived. Capacity ceiling, approximate expression of ergodic channel capacity and the upper bound equation of this capacity are derived. It is determined that the outage probability decreases as the shape parameter increases up to a certain level of impairment (critical k value) under the condition of both channels' shape parameters are equal, after this certain critical k value, the shape parameter effects oppositely. It is obtained that the communication performance can be improved when hardware with the same quality is used on both receiver and transmitter sides. Hardware impairment level has high effect on high SNR values. It is seen that ergodic capacity increases as the level of hardware impairment decreases. It is foreseen that analysis done provide guidance to researchers for selection of shape parameter (m), modulation type, hardware that has certain level of impairment (k) when the system that meet the desired performance is being designed.
