Abstract (EN)

Health tourism is one of the fastest growing part of the global tourism market. Health is one of the factors that direct people to tourism and travel. Since it is a kind of tourism that offers personal and individual experience, health tourism is attracting great interest in the international arena. For this reason, the share of health activities in tourism increases and becomes important. Therefore, the expenditures and investments made in this area are of great importance. In this context, the Ministry of Economy provides incentives for businesses operating in health tourism. With the development of the tourism sector, many sectors, particularly agriculture, industry and service sectors, are directly or indirectly affected. In parallel with the investments in tourism sector, new business areas are formed. This situation increases the demand for human capital and increases employment. Health tourism is a meeting point of different areas and it is a very convenient area to grow with the right investments. Therefore, better promotion of healthcare facilities in Turkey, showing active efforts for it, the implementation of a clear strategy needs to be developed of placing an emphasis on service and auditing systems.
