Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the trade relations between the EU and Turkey are examined. Especially, Customs Union stages are important for the development of trade relations between the EU and Turkey. EU is the most powerful importer of the world and it is the biggest market for Turkey. Turkey's economic power shaped with the textile and ready-wear industry's exports to the European Union member countries. In this study the stages of the Customs Union and exports to the European Union are examined in detail. The effects of the Customs Union have been determined with the help of the data about the exports before and after the Customs Union. For the development of the textile and ready-wear industry, a new survival solution is founded after the determination of whether Customs Union affects positively or negatively the driving sectors of the Turkish economy.
