Abstract (EN)

Aegean Islands is so important in every historical periods in terms of social-economic and political. Aegean Islands which was springbone in Mediterranean firstly it was remarked by Byzantine then Italian city state and Turkish Emirates in Medieval Period too. Moreover during the expansion of Islam Arabs after conquer Aegean Islands reached to Byzantine capital Constantinople. Although Byzantine Empire lost to important Aegean Islands as Crete and Rhodes, then recaptured these islands. But after the Crusades IV Byzantine Empire lost to crucial Aegean Islands to Venice Republic and Genoa. Led by Ghazi Umur Bey Aydın-oglus and Mentese-oglus cause most trouble to Venice in 14th Century. Aegean Islands was passed to Ottoman Empire in 15th Century.
