In the context of education and religious services the Turkish Islamic Association of Religious Affairs in Germany

The relations between Turkey and Germany have a long history. Throughout history, the two countries have been in cooperation with each other in political, economic, cultural and educational fields.Although the first Turks who went to Germany to work had to live and work under very difficult conditions they felt the need to come together in order to maintaintheir own culture and values and to know other cultural values The first Turkish workers in Germanywanted to teach religious, customary, traditional and cultural values to their children raising in this country. In this context, they wanted to teach Turkish-Islamic values and customs to the new generations by establishing different organizations and associations and organizing some activities.. Furthermore, they thought to maintain strongly their spiritual identity to Turkey by coming together.Over the time, organized and permanent associations were needed for provision of services. The Turkish Islamic Associations of Religious Affairs (DITIB) was founded in Cologne with the support of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.Key Words: Religion, Language, Education, Integration, Dialogue.
