Examining the leadership styles, motivations and entrepreneurship levels of managers in educational institutions according to the four framework models (Istanbul example – 2023)

The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between school administrators' leadership styles according to the four-frame model and their motivation and entrepreneurial levels. The research was designed based on the relational survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods. The population of the study consists of school administrators in Istanbul province. The sample of the study consisted of 344 administrators selected through simple random sampling method. In the study, a personal information form, Leadership Orientation Scale, Work Motivation Scale, and Managerial Entrepreneurship Scale were applied. The data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program to evaluate the results of the study. The analyses revealed significant differences in job motivation, managerial entrepreneurship, and leadership orientations among participants based on demographic characteristics such as gender, marital status, age, education level, managerial experience, and years of service in the same institution. Additionally, a moderate positive statistically significant relationship was found between the managerial entrepreneurship scale and the leadership orientations descriptive scale. Furthermore, positive statistically significant relationships were observed between job motivation scale and leadership orientations descriptive scale in sub-dimensions such as physical-mental health, life satisfaction, development of family relationships, and positive emotions.
