Abstract (EN)
Semantic web technologies are growing in popularity in today's academic and industrial environment and is widely expected to be one of the most important technologies in the future with the use of semantic web technologies data in the internet environment will cease to be in documents which only humans can interpret and is going to reach a stage where computers can understand the connection between the data, and reveal different connections by interpreting them. The purpose of this work which was done is to tell that; semantic web technology, how it is used in education systems, and show how the infrastructure and display of the education system is configured with semantic web technologies and how the educational ontologies have been carried out for education systems. The purpose of this study is; to explain how semantic web technologies are used inside education systems, how the infrastructure of the education systems and presentation are configured with semantic web technologies and how education ontologies are carried out. Explained in the scope of the study ontology based education ontology, will be modeled and prepared in the language based on RDF (Resource Description Framework). For this purpose Protégé ontology development editor was used. Thanks to the graphic interface in Protégé ontology development, the subjects related with class are defined visually and thus the area that is desired to be defined can be modeled. By discussing the advantages and limitations the stages that make up the courses have, among the courses that are shown in computer engineering department, examples have been given by developing the education ontology (E-Course) which provides conceptually semantic integrity. By using the developed ontology it is aimed to make it easier to communicate between courses.
