Abstract (EN)

Since the beginning of human history, humanity has lived a life intertwined with nature and people have benefited from nature in every aspect of their lives. The son of man, who benefits from all the beauties of nature, has destroyed nature over time and negatively affected the ecosystem. The development of industry has led to great destruction in the environment, the damage caused to the environment has been addressed by artists and they have shown a sensitive attitude towards nature together with the artistic works. in the 1960s, along with the works produced by artists under the umbrella of ecological art, artistic works themed on ecological consciousness increased. However, they rejected the traditional, and created arrangements using ready-made objects and waste objects in their studies. Some artists, on the other hand, have created their works by making arrangements directly on nature. The fact that the culture of consumption has changed and production has increased rapidly has brought the waste problem with it, and many artists have created compositions from waste objects and put forth works. Glass, which is one of the substances that cause the most damage to the environment among waste objects, is often used Decently by artists in the context of ecological art. The artistic treatment of glass dates back to primitive times, and this situation has revealed the importance of glass material in artistic creativity. The increase in environmental pollution and glass waste in modern art, combined with the creative works of artists, has led to the emergence of works. Within the scope of this study, ecological art and artistic transformations of waste glass materials were discussed, supported by artists using waste glass and artistic practices.
