Double roles of religious attitudes and behaviors on the economical

The main aim of this study is to examine the relationships between religious attitudes, behaviors, demografical variables and economic criterias.The sampling group of study (m=953, f=171 total: 1128) are randomly selected from the pool of persons who work at three economic areas from the different occupations. The age of samples range from 18 to 80 (Mage=38).The instruments used for gathering data were Religious Life Inventory, which was constructed and developed by a group of members of The Faculty of Divinity, and a Questionnaire that includes several economical developmental criteras and personal informations.The results showed that, religious attitudes and behaviors were correlated with education, age groups, marital status, sex, occupational groups and socio-economic status at p<.01 significant level. However religious attitudes and behaviors were correlated with saving and thriftiness, valuing the working, science and technology, planning the time, reliability of people, enterprising mind, resignation, valuing the holy day, night, places, and honesty, development of economical possibility, valuing the love in all life and working life, those who think whether the role of religion in the development of economical possibilities or not respecting to economical areas, and inter-religious behaviors dealing with economical areas at p<.01 and valuing the job, resignation respecting to economical areas at p<.05 significant level.In addition, religious attitudes and behaviors were not correlated to understanding of working together with others, consumptions, understanding of destiny and resignation that dont give place the lazyness, energy consumption level in case of need with the modern life and valuing the holy day, night and ceremonies respecting the economical areas.Key Words: 1) Religious Attitudes and Behaviors, 2) Economic Development,3) Religious Life, 4) Religiosity.
