Abstract (EN)
Open heart surgery could not develop for a long time. However, the discovery of the heart-lung machine and the discovery of extracorporeal circulation made development possible. Extracorporeal circulation takes over the duties of the lungs and heart during surgery. Since it is difficult to perform surgery on a working heart, a cross clamp is needed to make the operating area bloodless. Extracorporeal circulation often reduces blood flow to the organs. In this study, the effects on liver function tests in patients who underwent femoral vein cannulation and central vein cannulation, which are cannulation methods, were investigated. Data from 36 patients were used in the study. Cases that underwent cardiac surgery at Gaziantep University Hospital Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic were included in the study. The patients' gender, age, cross-clamping times, intensive care periods, pump times, cannulation methods, preoperative Lactate, ALT and AST values, and postoperative AST, ALT and Lactate values were recorded retrospectively and randomly. As a result of the analyzes performed to determine whether there were changes in AST, ALT and Lactate values before and after the operation according to the cannulation method, no significant difference was detected between the groups. As a result of the statistical analysis conducted to determine whether there is a change in pump time, cross-clamp time and intensive care time according to the cannulation method, it was determined that the pump time was higher in patients with femoral vein cannulation, and the cross-clamp time and intensive care time were higher in patients with central vein application. It was observed that the change was not statistically significant and was not found to be significant.
