Abstract (EN)

In textile industry trends are changing so customers expectations from garments are changing. High elasticity denim garment demand is increased. There are many factors affecting the properties and the performance of the elastane content denim garments. Within this study, how weft yarn count, elastane count, weft yarn composition, reed number parameters effects the shrinkage, elasticity, residual extension, tensile strength, tear strength and modules results were evaluated. As weft yarn; cotton / elastane, cotton / T400® /elastane, cotton / PBT / elastane, cotton / sustansTM / elastane yarns were used. Test results were evaluated by SPSS statistical program. By evaluating the effect of the parameters, in product development stage unnecessary trials will not be done so the product development cost will be reduced. Requested performance levels can be achieved in shorter time so new products will be produces in shorter time.
