Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Masters Thesis Determination of Oxy tetracycline and Sulphamezatnine in Honey Sold in Elazığ Region by Derivative Spectrophotometry Meral TURABİK Fırat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Chemical Engineering 1 995., Page 6 1 Oxy tetracycline (OTC), sulphamezathine and binary mixtures can be resolved by derivative spectrometry. In aquous solutions (pH=4.8)J OTC was determined at 230.5 nm using the 2° derivative and SM at 239.5 nm from the 2° derivative and thereby absorbance effects and the interaction between 2 compounds were eliminated. The optimum amount of sample to be used for the analysis of honey containing OTC and SM was 0.5 g. 2° derivative and 370 nm was used for OTC and 252 nm 1° derivative was used determining the recoveries of OTC and SM added to honey.IV In honey samples of which history is unknown,OTC was determined by standart addition procedure at 230.5 nm using the 2° derivative while SÎ1 was determined at 254.6 nm using 1° derivative. The metod does not require any seperation procedure/The recoveries were over 890. Key Words :0xytetracyc1ine, sulphamezathine, honey analysis, derivative spectrophotometry, spectroscopy.
