Abstract (EN)

The demand for electrical energy increases by time. Power quality problems ocur due to the non-linear loads used. The most important of the power quality problems is the occurence of harmonics. The correct estimation and preventation of harmonics in terms of amplitude, frequency and phase improves power quality and efficiency. With the development of artificial intelligence and smart systems, intelligent methods are used to estimate harmonics as well as Fourier transform based algorithms. In this thesis, a hybrid algorithm was developed for amplitude and phase estimation of harmonics. While the amplitude of the harmonics was calculated by the least squares method, the phase angles were estimated by the artificial bee colony algorithm which is a global optimization algorithm. Two different harmonic signals proposed in the literatüre were used to test the success of the proposed algorithm in the simulation environment. The developed algorithm was tested in the Python software environment and the results were discussed according to standard measures by comparing with similar studies.
