Abstract (EN)
In this study, the optimum conditions were determined by investigating the treatment of domestic wastewater originating by electrocoagulation process, and system and cost analysis was made. For this purpose, electrofloccoagulation process was applied by using iron and aluminum electrodes for domestic wastewater taken from the balancing reservoir of Söğüt Municipality Wastewater Treatment Plant. Optimal operating conditions in the process; natural pH of domestic wastewater (7.4 ± 0.3), 15mA/cm2 current intensity and 60 set in minutes. It has been determined that the aluminum electrode is more efficient than the iron electrode for domestic wastewater and approximately 87% efficiency has been obtained for the COD pollution parameter. Calculations were made based on optimum conditions determined as a result of experiments conducted in cost analysis studies
