Abstract (EN)

Electronic evidence is extremely crucial in terms of illuminating the crime and identification of the criminal. The preservation of the evidential value of the data obtained from electronic media will be possible by elimination of the situations that will lead to objections. The judicial process, which starts with the seizure of electronic evidence or taking an image, continues with many practices and transactions. Failure to keep records of what these transactions are and who has done what kind of action cause objections to electronic evidence during judicial stages, and as a result of these objections, electronic evidence can sometimes be removed from the file by judicial authorities with a decision that it loses its evidential value. With this thesis, an application that enables the process management of electronic evidence to be recorded by using blockchain technology, which is an internationally accepted and highly reliable system in terms of data accuracy and integrity, has been implemented. With the application, every practice and transaction made by the judicial authorities and law enforcement officers in the process from the first intervention of electronic evidence subject to a crime until the end of the judicial process has been recorded with blockchain technology, hence creating an indelible and unchangeable record of every transaction has been achieved. In the application, the steps in the process of electronic evidence which is the subject of a real forensic case, have been animated, and it has been proven that the records of the practices and transactions made on the electronic evidence cannot be changed and deleted through the application.
