Abstract (EN)

This study is conducted on players of Handball Team and Basketball Team, to evaluate any relationship between body fat percentages and extremity length with their level of equilibrium.23 subjects aged between 20-25 years old (10 basketball,13 handball players) performed. The body fat percentages were calculated according to the ?Zorba? Formula (BF% = 0.99 + 0,0047 (Body mass) + 0.132 (body fat thickness from 7 sites). Our results show that:While there was a significant difference between basketball and handball players for mean height (0,045), arm lenght (0,045), triceps (0,013), biceps (0,007), thigh (0,000) measurements. The group means for height, arm length, leg length, and scapula measurements in basketball players were higher than handball players but handball players have higher mean values for weight, overarm length, triceps, biceps, chest, iliac, abdominal and thigh measurements. The mean difference value for right start Loosing Equilibrium between basketball and handball players detected as -2,12 and it is concluded that there is a significant difference. When looking at the basketball players right and left Keeping in Equilibrium; a significant correlation detected between mean of left start Keeping in Equilibrium and their weights, and its correlation factor is -0736. Meaning that, when the left starting basketball players? weight increase, their Keeping in Equilibrium decrease and a similar result can be said for Loosing Equilibrium.Without distinction of right-left start, a significant correlation detected between basketball players? Keeping Equilibrium and their weights and correlation factor is -0.634. Meanning that when the basketball players? weight increase, their Keeping in Equilibrium decrease and a similar result can be said for Loosing Equilibrium.Without distinction of right-left start, a significant correlation detected between handball players? Keeping Equilibrium and their leg length and correlation factor is -0.617. Meanning that when the handball players? leg length increase, their Keeping in Equilibrium decrease and a similar result can be said for Loosing Equilibrium
