An investigation of the evaluation of the valuable ‎stones in the praises of Enderūnlu vāsif and poet Nedīm in ‎the light of Shirvānī's gemology book named Tuhfe-i ‎Murādī

The famous poet of the Tulip Era, Nedim lived in the Tulip Era and died with the ‎end of this period. Poet Vāsif from Enderūn was born 41 years after Poet Nedīm. ‎He lived during the disintegration period of the Ottoman Empire. And years before ‎these two poets In the 15th century, doctor Shirvani wrote cevhernāme " Tuhfe- i ‎Murâdî".‎ The examination of how Vâsıf and Nedîm used precious stones in the odes in their ‎divans, in the light of Shīrvānī 's work named " Tuhfe- i Murādī", is researched in ‎this thesis. The couplets examined are explained one by one. Transcriptions from ‎Tuhfe- i Murādī and thus, a link was established between the use of the precious ‎stone in the poem and its handling in the cevhernāme. Thanks to this, it is tried to ‎reveal in what meanings the poets used these gems.‎ In addition, the medical prescriptions in Cevher- nâme are intended to be revealed ‎in this thesis. It is aimed to conduct a study on the place and importance of minerals ‎in Classical Turkish Literature and ancient medical science.‎
