Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT The Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCAD A) implementation in energy distribution systems increases the efficiency of system operation and improves system- planning ability. Since the electrical energy consumption doubles in the developed and the developing countries within 10 to 6 years respectively. This reality increases the importance of energy system planning. Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), enables the operation, control and observation of the energy system from one operation room. The SCADA system consist of three parts, 1) Master terminal unit, 2) Remote terminal unit, 3) Communication system. In our country SCADA implementation in energy, distribution system is new. The leak of expertise in this area should lead the universities and research institutes to establish their research units. In this study, SCADA implementations for energy distribution systems are examined and SCADA application for an energy distribution system is given. Keywords : SCADA, master terminal unit, remote terminal unit, communication, software.
