Investigation of the hazards and risks of disabled employees in terms of occupational health and safety in the textile industry

Since disabled employees are among the groups that require special policies, the dangers and risks they may encounter while working in the textile industry may be inevitable. Thanks to the control measures that must be taken to avoid these hazards and risks, disabled employees can do their jobs efficiently in a healthy, safe and prosperous working environment by eliminating or minimizing the risk of work accidents and occupational diseases. They can motivate themselves both because of their self-confidence and because the workplace environment is comfortable for them. Fine Kinney and FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) methods are among the risk assessment methods that can be used in terms of occupational health and safety in determining hazards and risks in the textile industry. Although these methods can be widely used in the textile industry, they cannot be used by employers and various experts in the OHS field because they are complicated and take too much time. The aim of this study is to identify the dangers and risks that disabled employees in business life, who are among disadvantaged groups, may encounter in the textile industry with Fine Kinney and FTA risk assessment methods, to investigate control measures to solve their problems and to arrange the identified risks in order of priority.
