Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine the relationships between socialization anxiety, acne-specific quality of life, self-love and self-efficacy in adult acne individuals. The research variables are interesting concepts in psychology and dermatology literature in recent years. The research is conducted with quantitative research methods. The design of the study is cross-sectional. In the documentation within the scope of the research, Personal Information Form, Social Appearance Anxiety Scale, Two-Dimensional Self-Esteem Scale (Self-Love and Self-Efficacy Scale), Cardiff Acne Restriction Index (CADI) forms were used. SPSS 25 Package Program was used to analyze the data. The analysis methods to be used in the analysis of the data are descriptive analysis, frequency analysis, range analysis, t-test, ANOVA. As a result of the analysis, a negative relationship was found between social anxiety and self-dislike in individuals with acne (p<0.05), and a positive relationship was found between acne restriction (p<0.05). However, no significant relationship was found between social sharing anxiety and self-efficacy (p>0.05). As a result of the analysis, in individuals with acne, the average scores of socialization anxiety in places with severe and moderate acne are cut off when the mean scores are significantly higher than those with mild acne. It was observed that the average scores of mild acne, which is the clinical temperature of acne, and not liking themselves were significantly higher than those of moderate and severe acne. In addition, it was observed that the average scores of quality of life due to the restriction of acne in those with severe acne, clinical temperature were significantly lower than those of mild and moderate acne. In addition, a positive relationship was found between self-dislike, self-efficacy and acne-related quality of life in individuals with acne and their age. In the analyses conducted, it was observed that married people with acne did not like themselves and their self-efficacy scores were significantly higher than those of singles. In the analyses conducted, the average scores of acne-related quality of life of male connections with acne may be significantly higher than those of women. In addition, it was found that the quality of life due to the restriction of connections in topical treatment areas of people with acne was significantly higher in systemic and combined treatment areas. Finally, it was observed that the ranges of quality of life scores due to acne restriction in people with acne were significantly lower than those without the disease. The research results show that there is a relationship between socialization anxiety, acne-related life limitations, and the self-dislike dimension of self-esteem in individuals with acne.
