Conflicting role models of women and men and violence in Erzurum

The aim of this thesis is to examine the changes in the social, cultural and economic environment in the process of transition from the traditional Turkish society to the modern Turkish society structure and the "FEMALE" in the family within the framework of the positive / negative practical transformations that take place in the family, The evaluation of the "VIOLENCE OF WOMEN", which is thought to be the result of the changing society structure, was given. In the section of the application, the situation evaluations were taken by face to face interviews of men and women. The number of samples was determined by interviewing 17 women and 4 men who were exposed to violence and were subjected to violence. Thedatawasevaluated in the NVIVO 9 qualitative analysis program. As a result, the innovations brought by Western cultures which do not exactly coincide with the " CONSERVATISM", which constituted the period of the Turkish society structure within the process of transition from the traditional society to the modern society structure, brought with it various breaks. The institution that this situation penetrates most clearly is the family and the women carrying all the representations within this family are the ones and people who live with the main problem.
