Abstract (EN)

The subject of this study is Stone Carvings Of The Crown Gate İn The Erzurum Yakutiye Medresseh.It is on kind of description depending on an area research in the respect of data collection.In the research it is aimed to deteimine the toric shapes on the Crown Gate of the Erzurum Yakutiye Medresseh,to identify the technigues of figuration and formation,to present the characteristics of the design and compositions by documenting drawings and photographs,to research our cultural heritage,to prepare sources for new studies by documenting the datas,already acguired and to transfer these sources to the next generations.However the Erzurum Yakutiye Medresseh has already been introduced by several publications,the figuration and formation technigues haven?t been documented by using photographs and drawings considesing design technigue and composition characteristics.İn this sense it is considerable since that kind of a study hasrit seen before and carried out only by us.At the end of the research by the help of the datas obtained,enumaration tables are formed which contain subject size technigue and composition categories.They are notted on the observation cards.In the table of subject enumaration it is understood that the vegetal adoinments are worked mostly and also geomethrical adoinments,adoinments with figures and handwriting are seen.In the table of size enumaration except 51cm,72cm,50cm width sizes and 13cm,47cm,56cm length sizes all samples are listed in different sizes.According to the table of techingue enumaration in all 15 samples observed in the research it is clear that.Surface Carving Technigue is worked.By carving the ground the motifs are remained on the top.In the table of composition enumaration it is seen that the symmetiy composition is worked the most of all samples and the grift composition the least.Lastly the composition occured by repetitions have taken part,too in this table.
