Recitations and their impact on the understanding of the Qur'an in Kanz al-Irfān fī fiqh al-Qurʾan by Buyûrî

This study examines Suyuri's commentary Kanz al-Irfān fī Fiqh al-Quran in the context of recitations. The recitations have not only been identified but also examined what effect they have on the understanding of the Qur'an. What makes this thesis different is that it was written by a Shiite commentator. Our aim is to reveal which method Shiite commentators follow to interpret the Qur'an, how they evaluate the verses of ahkâm within the framework of recitations, and to examine what impact the recitations have on the meaning of the Qur'an. The study consists of two parts. In the first section, Suyûrî's life works, and students are mentioned. In this section, we discussed Suyûrî's Kanz al-Irfān fī Fiqh al-Quran with its content as well as the methods used, sources, etc topics extensively. In the second section, the recitations are explained one by one in the subsections. The effect of these recitations on the meaning of the Qur'an has been studied. The study was completed with results and references.
