Abstract (EN)
Old Anatolian Turkish is the period in which Turkish developed between the 13th and 15th centuries. There are many works produced by translation and commentary methods in this period, but it is known that there are more translated works. The works translated in the period are almost like copyrighted works. With the contribution of the translations and commentaries produced in this period, Turkish has gained many new words. In addition, the existence of these manuscripts, which have the characteristics of translation and commentary, has made great contributions to the general development of Turkish. Based on the Quran Translations and Commentaries written in Old Anatolian Turkish, the vocabulary and semantic world of the period have been examined and their contributions to Turkish have been emphasized. This study aims to reveal the rich vocabulary of Old Anatolian Turkish.
