Wedding meals in Eskisehir and investigation of change process of them

This study was conducted in order to examine the wedding meals presented in the districts of Eskişehir, the recipes of these wedding meals and the changes in these wedding meals. When the literature was examined, it was observed that there was no detailed study about the wedding meals made in the districts of Eskişehir. Therefore, this study is important in terms of revealing the changes in wedding meals, recipes of these wedding meals and the changes in wedding meals over time. The population of this study consists of people who make wedding dinner in Eskişehir. Within the scope of the research, a semi-structured interview form was created and datas were collected from face to face interviews. Between July and November 2019, a total of 17 participants were interviewed and the datas collected from the participants were analyzed with descriptive analysis. After this examination, the wedding dinners presented in Eskişehir, the recipes of these wedding dinners and their changes over time were determined and the information obtained from this review and literature were discussed and some results and suggestions were presented. According to the results of the research, it was found that the tradition of the wedding dinner was also changed with the change of the age, the wedding meals were no longer made as in the old times, and even they disappeared. This study is expected to contribute to the literature on wedding meals made in the districts of Eskişehir and to guide the continuity of the wedding dinner tradition.
