To determine the opinions and suggestions of school counselors about inclusion practices at the elementary schools where they work in Eskişehir

The purpose of this study is to determine the opinions and suggestions of school counselors about inclusion practices at the elementary schools where they work. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 volunteer school counselors who work at elementary schools that implement inclusion practices located in the center district of Eskisehir. The data are analyzed by using inductive analysis. As a result of data analysis, the researcher found 30 themes and subthemes under 10 titles which generate the results of this study. The results of the study revealed that the responsibilities of the school counselors were increased by the recent law. Therefore, the counselors mentioned that they were having problems and felt themselves insufficient related with these problems. They also pointed that they needed help for solving the problems they mentioned in the study. Furthermore, the results demonstrated that there are serious problems about the students who were not placed in inclusion, but are thought to have some disabilities and teachers deal with these students with their personal efforts at these schools.
