Abstract (EN)

The most important factors for businesses to overcome the crisis period with minimal damage are having a flexible and agile structure. The fact that businesses can be easily affected by internal and external negativities causes the sector to have a fragile structure. This fragile structure of businesses can affect uncertainty and even crises from time to time. At this point, flexible and agile production systems must be implemented in order for businesses to overcome this period in a short time and to pass with minimal damage. Flexible system and agile system are the skills that businesses need to have in order to achieve success and be effective in the changing and developing market. Applying flexible and agile production system strategies can bring success in order for businesses to eliminate the negativities of environmental, individual and organizational reasons at the time of crisis. In this context, it is seen that flexible and agile production systems have an important place for businesses. In this period, where competition has now reached global dimensions and new demands and needs are being followed, flexibility and agility have an important place as an alternative strategy to overcome long-term crises with minimal impact. The purpose of this study is to reveal the importance of flexible and agile production systems in businesses during the crisis period and to determine the effect of these systems on the crisis. In light of this, it is composed of three sections. In the first section, concepts related to flexible and agile production systems are discussed. In the second section, the concept of crisis and crisis management and other concepts related to these concepts are examined theoretically. In the third section, the application part of the study is given. Quantitative research method was used to collect data for the application. The data obtained with the survey method, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was interpreted by applying analyzes appropriate to the purpose of the research. The universe of the research consists of businesses operating in Malatya Organized Industrial Zone. The upper and middle level managers in the businesses constitute the sampling frame of the research.
