Abstract (EN)
In this study, concepts of leadership and performance are emphasized. Leadership theories are studied in detailed way and expected effects of applied leadership styles on workers? performances are found out.A study on the staff of a public bank was performed to analyse effects of transactional leadership styles on employee performance. In this framework, a questionnaire was used and relabiliaty analysis for questionnaires, descriptive analysis and correlation analysis were done.The data obtained at the end of the questionnaires were analyzed by using SPSS 16.0 package programme. Results of questionnaire were evaluated according to transactional leadership perceptions.Finally, it is found out that with the frame of transactional leadership perceptions, the performance is associated positively on contingent reward dimension, negatively on management by exception (passsive and active).
