Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effect of eggshell color on some hatching performance traits was investigated in broiler breeders. The hatching eggs obtained from two different middle-aged (29 weeks) Ross 308 broiler breeder flocks were divided into two groups as brown (control) and white (trial) and hatched according to their eggshell color. As a result of the study, it was seen that it was found that the difference in shell color significantly affected fertility, total loss (position error, etc.), hatchability of fertile eggs and hatchability (p<0.05). On the other hand, it was determined that it did not significantly affect early, middle and late and broken embryonic deaths, (p>0.05). In conclusion, it was obtained that better hatching performance was obtained in brown-shelled eggs determined as the control group.
