Abstract (EN)
In this study, theeffects of shearspan-to-effective depthratio and volumefraction of fibers on the shear strength of steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC) beams without stirrupshaving a shearspan-to-effective depthratio greater than 2.5 are investigated. Shearspan-to-effective depthratios of 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5, and volume fractions of fibers of 0.0%, 1.0%, 2.0% and 3.0% were considered as test variables. Itwasobservedthroughtheexperimentsthattheshearstrengthincreaseswiththevolumefraction of fibers. Furthermore, the equations proposed for predicting the shear strength of SFRC beamswereassessedbycomparingtheexperimentalresultswiththepredictionsobtainedfromtheequationsavailable in the literature.
