Abstract (EN)
Today, the demand for air transport has been increasing. This increase causes capacity problems especially at airports. In this case, some airline companies cannot schedule flights on every route they request. Airport resoruces are allocated to related flights of airline companies as regarding some rules. However, this process brings some negative effects during planning phase. One of these factors is that airline companies may not have their requested operation time at airport for related flights. They have to concede to limited airport capacity since it is shared among all airline companies that have a request to operate at the airport. It leads to assign delayed operation time to the related flights of some airline companies. Although it is tried to improve before operation day, it remains incapable for some delayed flights. Therefore, a new flight list should be formed regarding the current demands of the airline companies. In this study, an optimization model that considers the current demands is developed by using integer programming. It generates a solution in the strategic phase while it also considers tactical circumstances. Mathematical model aims to minimize the total difference between requested and assigned operation time of flights as regarding the current demand of the airline companies, conflicts at parking positions and runway, taxi durations, turnaround durations, and operational constraints. Hence, the gap between these times will be decreased and limited number of parking position will be used efficiently. The mathematical model formed within the scope of this study can be used by decision makers at the strategic phase to manage air traffic flow and capacity more efficiently.
