Abstract (EN)

This thesis describes development of remote access and remote control of home type inverter controlled air conditioners which are made in Turkey to reduce energy consumption and dependency of foreign countries and to increase user comfort. New designed methods and innovative ideas are important while developing the new control and access system structures. In this thesis firstly, literature survey is made and commonly used the remote access and control methods are examined. Wireless Fidelity method is determined. The remote access and remote control electronic card prototype is made. Developed prototype electronic card communicates with home type inverter air conditioner via UART – serial communication. Software is implemented using C programming language on MSP430F5529 development card which is supplied Texas Instruments 16-bit micro controller. An Android based mobile interface and web based PHP interface are developed for remote access and remote control of air conditioner. As a result of these studies, a prototype electronic card was designed and developed which is supplied by remote access and remote control features. Remote access and remote control of air conditioner is successfully achieved with using android based mobile application and web based PHP application. Commonly used air conditioner functions are successfully executed. Various information of air conditioner's using statics and user habits were collected. Users are allowed to access some information of their air conditioner. Such as working status, working mode, set temperature, fan speed etc.
