Abstract (EN)
In this study, the export case of the Turkish cement industry between 1999-2020 has been examined and the macro-environment of the sector has been evaluated with the PESTEL analysis approach. Within the scope of PESTEL analysis, the Turkish cement industry has been examined under political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal sub-headings. In addition, the criteria affecting export of cement from the industry to global markets were investigated. While the Turkish cement industry is assessed within the scope of PESTEL analysis; the literature, publications of official institutions and unions, statistics about the sector, and the publications of press organs were examined. In addition, expert academicians and industry stakeholders were consulted with the help of a survey prepared. The data obtained as a result of the work were presented by comparing with each other and determinations were made regarding the past and present situation of the Turkish cement industry. In line with the findings, recommendations were made for the future of Turkish cement exports.
