Customer satisfaction in home care services

With a number of advantages, such as increasing the recovery of the patient, decreasing the risk of infection, decreasing stress, keeping the family together, decreasing the expenses, home care services are of great importance for the health sector. The research has been planned and applied with the purpose to determine the need for home care services (what are the home care services required by the individuals and the physical, social etc. factors producing the need for home care services), to determine the customer satisfaction in relation to the resources used to satisfy the needs, the people who meet the expenses, and the degree to which theyare meto The research was based on the reports of patients whose care is undertaken by four nurses who provide service to patients af ter their release from hospital. They establish contact with their patients through a medical institution providing home care services to 50 private homes the contact with which is established through newspaper advertisements or theyare not affiliated to any institution. The questionnaire method was applied for the collection of information. The participants were reached through: telephone, internet, face to face interview. SPSS Analysis System was used for the evaluation of the data. The research includes results. As a result it has been determined that home care services do not possess sufficient popularity in our country. The great amount of the expenses, the lack of legal status on a state level, the fact that the patients and their relatives are not sufficiently informed about the services can be stated as the main reasons. Despite the relatively high level of customer satisfaction their greatest complaint is the quick circulation of the stuff providing the service. viu
