Abstract (EN)

In this study, was studied the adsorption of Everdirect Supra Red Bws (Direct Red 243) textile dye from aqueous solution onto chitin. The system has been continued with batch agitation. For this purpose, the optimum pH for a good adsorption process has been determined during the first step of working. For this, four different pH values were used in the range of pH 3-9. Then, four different adsorbent doses ranging from 0,67 to 6,67 g/L were investigated and optimum adsorbent doses were investigated. At the last stage, three different temperature values were determined at 25-45 oC to determine the optimum temperature and the optimum temperature was determined. Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin isotherms were applied to the experimental studies, thermodynamic parameters were calculated and adsorption kinetics were determined. The results obtained were interpreted and suggested by considering the previous studies. Statistical analysis was carried out by the RSM method at the last stage of the experimental studies. The RSM method allows the applicability of the adsorption process and the factors affecting the adsorption event to be investigated at the same time. For this purpose, the graphs obtained by three dimensional response surface method are interpreted and the most suitable test conditions are determined.
