The affect of mindful awareness and dysfunctional attitudes on sexual satisfaction of married individuals

The aim of this study is to search for the differences concerning dysfunctional attitudes of married individuals and the effect of mindful awareness on sexual satisfaction that changes accordingly some socio-demographic variables. In that study, Socio-demographic Information Form, Dysfunctional Attitude Scale Form, The Golombok Rust Inventory of Sexual Satisfaction, Mindful Attention Awareness Scale were carried out with 214 married volunteer participants whose gender are 122 women and 92 men in total. Firstly, the reliability of the data that taken from online Google drive platform was measured by using SPSS program. T – test and ANOVA was carried out to the independent groups while sexual satisfaction was searched on the basis of various socio-demographic features that differ individually among married individuals. The relation between main variables was analyzed through Pearson and Stepwise Regression. This analysis showed that there is a meaningful relationship between sexual satisfaction and mindful awareness of married individuals. Similarly, the analysis illuminated there is a meaningful relationship between sexual satisfaction and dysfunctional attitudes. Whereas it was seen that the ratio is %14,3 mindful awareness on sexual satisfaction of married men, dysfunctional attitudes are not a meaningful predictor on sexual satisfaction. It was illuminated that dysfunctional attitudes on sexual satisfaction of married women showed %7,8 ratio differences while mindful awareness is not a predictor on women's sexual satisfaction. The findings of the study was discussed on the frameof the related literature
